overall, I believe my time back in SG was well spent! got to meet with most of the people I wanted to and did most of the “activities” I planned like going to H&M for some shopping and picture snaps in Singapore Botanic Gardens. Oddly enough, I didn’t go to Marina Bay Sands this time cos well, my friend who usually brings me there was in Europe so never got the chance or rather, excuse to go there..pretty sure it still looks exactly the same :P
every time I go back, it feels like nothing’s changed when clearly lots of things have but it’s this feeling of normalcy, like everything is as it was before I left and I haven’t been gone for TWO years! But, everyone has grown a little bit older and life has been going on.
I miss home and I’m glad to be able to go home twice or thrice a year cos I miss my family and friends and yes, even Singapore. <3
-OFF TOPIC-
Many of my friends will be graduating this year and early next year and a lot of them have been asking me what my plans will be after graduation. Honestly, the only thing I’m certain of, is that I will be looking for a job in Singapore. Where? What sort? I DON’T KNOW :( and this scares me a lot because the job market is competitive and I will be competing with fresh grads from NUS, NTU, SMU and all the private universities for jobs.. considering that in terms of recognition and prestige, DLSU < NUS, NTU, SMU and SIM.. I might not be in a very good position for a high paying job like my friends :( BUT, once again, I WILL TRUST IN THE ALMIGHTY WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING. I know I will be fine. Afterall, HE was the one who brought me to the Philippines to experience living by myself, meeting new people, exposing me to a different culture and allowing me to grow in my faith. HE has taken care of me all this time so I HAVE THE ASSURANCE THAT MY LORD WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO FOR ME, AND ALSO FOR MY FAMILY <3 maybe just maybe, this is in preparation for something so much bigger than I had ever imagined! :)
